2013 MHL World Championships qualification

The MHL World Championships is the highest level of international Ice Hockey competition organised by the MHL, the governing body of the sport on Micras.

The tournament is played once a year, being competed for by sixteen qualified nations.

Qualification

To fill in all of the team slots at the World Championships, the MHL organises qualifiers to narrow down nations to the allocated slots numbers. At the 2013 World Championships, all 6 nations with Micras Hockey League domestic teams automatically qualified, leaving 10 spots up for grabs. All independent nations on Micras, along with some dependencies and autonomous regions, will compete in the qualifiers. If a nation or region leaves Micras during the qualifiers, they are allowed to complete their group, but they forfeit 10 points.

Squads

All competing nations for each tournament are required to name a roster of players. Competing nations have to name a roster of 3 goaltenders and 20 skaters. Teams have to use the numbers 1 to 23, with the number 1 jersey being reserved for goaltenders.
