The MHL Junior World Championships was an international junior ice hockey competition organised by the MHL, the governing body of the sport on Micras.

The tournament was contested by the under-20s teams from ten nations. The tournament was discontinued following the cancellation of the 2021 edition.

Format

The Championship was contested over two groups of five teams each, with each team playing each other team in their group once. The top four teams in each group advance to quarter-finals. The bottom team in each group were relegated to the 'B' Conference.

In the 'B' Conference, the top two teams earned promotion to the 'A' Conference the following year. The lowest-ranked team was relegated to the Group B-II.

Squads

All competing nations for each tournament were required to name a roster of players. Competing nations had to name a roster of 2 goaltenders and 18 skaters. Teams could use any numbers from 1 to 99. Players had to be under the age of 20 on 1 January of the year of the tournament.
