The Council for the Integration of Ransenar and Alduria-Wechua is a specially created intergovernment body composed of government officials and key community leaders from the Federation of Alduria and the Wechua Nation (now the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie) and the Kingdom of Ransenar. The committee was formed in early 1692 AN after several rounds of talks between both nations over 1685 AN to 1691 AN.
The aim of the council is to bring closer integration and cooperation between Ransenar and Alduria-Wechua, including the exploration of Ransenar joining the Federation. In 1693 AN, the Council was disbanded in the lead up to the Ransenari general election of 1693. Public opinion had become hostile to the idea of joining the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie as a state, being used by the Ransenari Liberation Party as a effective political attack on the Imperial Democratic Party during the elections. While the work of the Council led to greater economic and cultural ties between the nations, the Council's work ended when it was dissolved and its work shifted back to normal diplomatic channels.
In 1696 AN, after the carnage wrought by multiple nuclear exchanges between rebel and government forces in the Second Elwynnese Civil War so close to Ransenari borders, it became obvious to the government of Ransenar and to the public that the survival and future of the Kingdom of Ransenar depended on looking outward, beyond the normal system of alliances and partnerships in the continent of Benacia with nations that were formerly part of Shireroth. Fearing for its safety and integrity, the governments of both Ransear and Nouvelle Alexandrie reactivated the Council and began negotiating a Treaty to make Ransenar part of the Federation and start to shift focus and partnerships away from Benacia and towards other powers willing to aid Ransenar in protecting itself from what some in the Ransenari government called "the permanent psycopathy that afflicts Benacia."
