Myself? Well, my friend, that is a story for another time.—Edward Coldstone, Cira: A Legacy (1675 AN)
Edward Coldstone (1613-) is a Ciric culture connoisseur, renowned for his acclaimed part-autobiography part-documentary book Cira: A Legacy, in which he details his extensive travels throughout his native Ciric Confederacy. Though he retains no titles and is a member of the Civilian Division, he nonetheless acquired a certain modicum of respect in the confederacy as a man of wisdom and words, and has thus secured the lasting position as one of the few authors of renown to be produced by the confederacy, with most falling prey to an unfortunate lack of funds due to the slow-paced nature of the career. Though Edward's life has been extensively documented by his own writing, this period of acute detailing only encompasses the years in which he traveled the confederacy, and he has proven to be somewhat secretive of his life outside of his books. Many of his fans suspect that, even though his age has begun to manifest in his physical limitations, he is planning one last culture trip to write a book about a country other than the Ciric Confederacy, though these rumours, while certainly plausible, were baseless at the time of their starting. They were, however, proven to be true in early 1680, when Edward announced that he and his family would be taking a culture trip around the world to view and write about the cultural monuments of several countries, including their home of the Confederacy, Caradia, Batavia, Natopia, Shireroth, the Unified Governorates of Benacia, Elwynn, Jingdao, Ralgon, Alduria, Krasnocoria, the Haifo-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union, the Thraci Confederation, and the Verionian Empire. He has said that he plans to return around VIII.1680. Speculation about the nature of his new book is a hot topic amongst confederates. It is known he will be accompanied by a security detail from the Veiga Security Corporation.
