Erlgau (Shireroth) is a district in the Jingdaoese province of Gong. The inhabitants of Erlgau are goblins, crew members of the nuclear submarine fleet that faced disaster under the ice shelves of Leng in ancient days, and their descendants. The district consist of three islands, Blumenstrand, Nebelstadt and Wolfgang. It is ruled by the Goburin Emperor, usually known as the Erlkönig. While no formal agreement exists that gives the region any autonomy or self-rule, it is considered to be a nation within the Jingdaoese Empire. Humans that visit the islands are brutally slaughtered and eaten, only high representatives from the imperial palace in Daocheng are usually spared. Erlgau is an important supplier of the Jingdaoese military-industrial complex, producing precision parts for the Obedience Machine and missile systems, as well as extensions for the RasmOS computer systems that controls various military installations including the nuclear arsenal.
