Apollonian Tatar Alliance

The Apollonian Tatar Alliance, or ATA, is an international political group that seeks to represent the indigenous Tatar population of Apollonia. The party was formed in 1644 AN in response to increasing colonization of northeastern Apollonia. The party was allowed to send a representative to the coalition government of Eesdeheito by Lac Glacei, in part due to the presence of a large ethnic population of Tatars in the condominium.

The term Tatar is a catchall phrase that represents all peoples sharing the same racial and linguistic characteristics in Apollonia, most of which are directly descended from early indigenous tribes, such as the Silver Yak Horde. These include Blue Lontinian, White Lontinian, Jawnetka and several other regional language groups. Most of the Tatars are nomadic tribes and therefore have not historically had a traditional nationstate. A couple of exceptions have occurred throughout known history. Once was around 1846 ASC when the Tatars formed a unified but migratory state known simply as Tatary. This state was variously allied with Arminy (precipitating the Tatar's current relationship with Hurmu). The second occurrence was with the Silver Yak Horde when their Khan briefly united the many tribes.
