Ronald Dale Winston was a Calbain footballer who played as a midfielder for the national team and the Elwynnese football club GIA Eliria Amnu. He passed away, together with all other players of the Elirian team, during a nuclear attack from Raspurid forces as part of the Second Elwynnese Civil War. The attack, which became known as the scouring killed an estimated 10 million people in Elwynn.
The Calbain national team played the remainder of their World Cup qualification matches with black memorial armbands. The Calbain football team Arwyn Llysthur, for which Winston played his entire youth and as a professional player until 2014, renamed their stadium to Dale Winston Dome. The Calbain national team retired shirt number 12 in his memory.
