The Cynulliad Cenedlaethol election of 1696 was a snap-election to elect Calbion's unicameral assembly. It was triggered by the resignation of the Realist government of Richard ab Ioan in the wake of the revelations about Calbain involvement with the use of weapons of mass destruction during the Second Elwynnese Civil War.
