2020 Florian League Cup |
The SLF Cup is the the secondary football cup competition in the Florian Republic. The cup involves all professional teams including Super League Football U23 sides, unlike the Florian Cup. The winner qualifies for a AEFA Cup qualifying stage berth. The competition is currently contested by 48 teams.
History
The SLF Cup was formed in early 2018, to provide a second competition for all professional Florian sides to compete in. It was also created to allow U23 teams develop and play matches against senior sides. Teams in the Florian Republic also desired to play matches midweek and so the Florian FA decided to implement the competition from late 2018 onwards.
