Saint Salvation, officially the Republic of Saint Salvation (Martino: República de San Salvación), is a microstate and city-state located in central Keltia along the Rodiana River on the riverbanks of the Salvation Water Gap.
Etymology
Saint Salvation was given its name as the home of "Salvation" for refugees and wanderers of The Green. The city of Saint Salvation, lying on the narrowest point of the Rodiana River, served as an oasis with a high aquifer and access to life-saving water in the arid region.
History
Proto-history
The riverbanks of the Salvation Water Gap have been home to multiple kingdoms and empires for hundreds of years.

Caputia
Modern Saint Salvation lies in the former states of Wakefield and San Luis along the Rodiana River. In 1669 AN, the Kingdom of the Union of Caputia suddenly and dramatically collapsed due to the White Plague.
To replace the Salvation Gap ferry, Saint Salvation began the construction of the newest bridge along the northern Rodiana River in the better part of the decade. With its completion in 1724 AN, the people of Saint Salvation finally identified themselves their own people and proclaimed a republic.
Geography
Saint Salvation lies on the Salvation Water Gap, the narrowest point on the Rodiana River and the only point it narrows more than 6 km between Lake Rodiana and the Captive Sea. At the Salvation Gap, the river is only 3.37 km wide. The city is split into three districts, one on the east and two on the west sides of the gap. The sides of the river are connected by the New Ax Bridge. The bridge is named for the former crossing at Axbridge north of Saint Salvation in Wakefield, since abandoned following the collapse of Caputia.
Climate
The republic is in a semi-arid region on the edge of the "hot" region of southern Keltia, the desert and tropical half of the continent.
Demographics
The peoples of Saint Salvation come from two of the largest demographics of former Caputia, speakers of Common Tongue (Istvanistani) and the Alexandrian Fransch. Accordingly, these are the republic's official languages.
Religion
The majority faith in the republic is Melusinianism, and the people of Saint Salvation are descendants of followers of the Church of Caputia. As believers in the holiness of water, the Salvation Water Gap is a sacred site and affirmation of its life-giving power. The largest religious structure in Saint Salvation is the Cathedral of the Seraphine Waters.
