The following key changes were made to the rules since the 2022 season:
- Each team is able to register up to 25 players in their squad, a reduction of 3 players as compared from 2020.
- Daau U23 can only register under-23 players and are entitled to 4 overaged players.
- Players shall be allocated jersey numbers 1 to 50. Jersey number become available for allocation to new members after a player ceased to play for a club.
- DSL clubs are now allowed to register a maximum of five foreign players with no age restrictions, of whom at least one shall be of the nationality of an AEFA Member Association. A maximum of four foreign players may be named or fielded in any one match.
- Aeland Krasno Natives may sign up to 22 Krasno players per season. They are also allowed to sign at a maximum 3 overaged Dauian players.
- All grounds remain the same from the 2021 season.
- Matabese players are counted as local players.
Teams
Eight teams compete in the league. 6 of which are from the previous season and the top 2 of the Daau Premier League. Seragaan United returns to the top flight with Seragaan Stadium still being their home and Daau U23 joins the league due to a number of free agent players due to clubs' withdrawing. Daas FC refused to participate in this year's edition due to financial problems.
