The Caputian Reconnaissance of Lake Morovia (Operation Moth) was undertaken in 1661–1662 in the aftermath of the decision of the Merrick Administration to resettle Monovian, Patrovian and Šlovedk colonists around the northern shores of Lake Morovia at its confluence with the Strait of Haifa, a narrow and strategically vital sea bisecting the Keltian continent.

- 08.VII.1661: The Caputian plan to colonise the northern shore of Lake Morovia becomes common knowledge after claims are lodged with international cartographic authorities.[2]
- 14.VII.1661: A Captain Augustus Strong is ordered to assemble an independent squadron at Keybir-Aviv to await the Prime Minister's instructions.[3]
- 09.VIII.1661: First patrol into indigenous areas begun.
