<!--The controversies surrounding the election forced Qukalsim Lampa to address the shortcomings of the political system. With his massive supermajority, he pledged to reform Sanaman democracy by changing to proportional voting and reducing the Lhusan Nasyonal to a bicameral parliament by removing the House of Councillors and making the Council of People's Republics directly elected as well. The 1735 election was the first with representation for Gogledd Cybwl, the Sanaman territory in northern Cibola. It was the first election following the abolition of the House of Councillors, and the first with direct elections for the Council of People's Republics. The ban on the Party of Democratic Humanism to participate in elections remained, with several new and old parties fielding candidates against the ruling Workers' Revolutionary Front, particularly from the center and right of the political spectrum. It was also the last election with a first past the post in single-member districts electoral system, with the nation moving to a more proportional system in the 1739 election. The dominance of the Partito Popolare Cisamarrese in Cisamarra continued, the Agrarian League maintained its grip on certain rural districts, while the resurrected Sanaman People's Party in alliance with Citizens United captured several urban districts. The Workers' Revolutionary Front won the election again, but with a reduction of more than 100 seats.
