Elections in Arboria take place in order to reconstitute certain bodies of government.
Right to Suffrage
Article VI of A Decree of The Princess of Arboria in Council bearing date at the Imperial Embassy of the Bovic Empire of the Natopian Nation at Astérapolis, 16.XV.1683, declared that, "Suffrage is granted to all Arborian residents of twenty-one years of age of either gender who have resided therein for two consecutive years prior to the issuance of this Decree, who are Natopian nationals."
Article VII of the same Decree provided that, "Electoral fraud shall be punished by imprisonment or hard labor of ten years, and suspension of suffrage for twenty years after judgment of the court."
Commission on Elections
A Decree of The Princess of Arboria in Council bearing date at the Imperial Embassy of the Bovic Empire of the Natopian Nation at Astérapolis, 16.XV.1683 created a Commission on Elections, composed of Michael Maximillian Watson as Chairman, and Andi Mehl and Cassandra Eddington as Commissioners, with authority to issue subordinate regulations, and their decisions subject to appeal and review of the Vicegerent, Augustus Mirkdale.
