The Imperial Constancian Fire Service is a national emergency service of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government of the Imperial Constancian Government. Chartered by the Imperial Constancian Fire Service Act 1687, it is led by a Chief Fire Marshal of the Imperial Constancian Fire Service, who shall be appointed by the Basileus on recommendation of the Mesazon, and shall serve for a renewable term of five years.
The Chief Fire Marshal apportions and determines the staffing pattern of the Imperial Constancian Fire Service, which shall have no more than 200,000 personnel.
The law also provides that every commune shall have a firefighting detail of at least one Fire Sergeant, and twelve subordinate personnel along with the requisite equipment, provided that the communes shall be authorized to establish auxiliary as well as volunteer firefighter units and personnel as they may require, and funded with their resources.
An Imperial Constancian Fire Service Academy in Aqaba exists for the training of prospective officers, headed by a Commandant who shall serve three-year terms, appointed by the Chief Fire Marshal, and graduates of the Academy are conferred the rank of Fire Lieutenant.
An Imperial Constancian Fire Service School also exists for training of prospective firefighters, headed by a Commandant who shall serve three year terms, appointed by the Chief Fire Marshal, and graduates of the School are conferred the rank of Leading Firefighter.
