Project 1727 is a development project of the Confederate States Armed Forces with its main objective to modernise all areas of the Florian Armed forces to the point it's the most advanced military force on Micras by 1727 AN.
Introduction
Weaponry
Small Arms (Phase 1)

Small Arms vastly improved under the 1711 Act with the introduction of the SA1680 as the new standard service rifle. However under Project 1727 the LSW form of the weapon system would be dropped in favour for the introduction of a new General Purpose Machine Gun operated by an operator in ‘Delta’ fireteams throughout the army’s vast number of sections.

As well as introduction of a new GPMG, during the Kapavian insurgency Florian soldiers also needed a new marksman rifle in case Florian infantry units were engaged by small arms fire from outside the range of their own assault rifles and light machine guns. The only weapon systems capable for such combat was the cherrypicker however these are unsuitable for a patrolling soldier. This is led to the development of the Florian sharpshooter rifle.
The rifle is a semi-automatic rifle designed to give an infantry section the ability to engage targets with accurate fire out to 800 metres. Fitted with 20 round mags the rifle can also be used in close combat. The weapon system like the SA1680 can be fitted with a bayonet and is equipped with 7.62 rounds.

The Sabre anti-tank weapon system was also introduced under Project 1727. The Sabre would accompany Florian infantry fireteams In the event that the fireteams came in contact with enemy armoured units. The Sabre is not assigned to any specific section member. The weapon systems maximum range is 600 metres and weighs at 12.5kg.
Air defence (Phase 2)

Air defence of Floria was reviewed by the government and it was deemed that the War of Lost Brother era equipment was unacceptable for a modern military force. Therefore the Falcon Air Defence system was developed. The Falcon defence system is a short to medium range anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence system. It is designed to respond to sophisticated missile attacks and has the capability to defend against saturation attacks of supersonic high-performance targets. It does this via multiple channels of fire, providing 360-degree simultaneous coverage and high degrees of manoeuvrability. The Florian Defence Commission states it has a "high rate of fire against multiple simultaneous targets".
