Tephal (Elw: Тефал, Tefal) is a Sovereign bailiwick and port in the Exclusion Diocese on the eastern coast of the Benacian Union. The city itself was destroyed on 20.XIV.1695 AN during the Scouring, a limited nuclear exchange that occurred during the final months of the Second Elwynnese Civil War, bringing the population from well over one million down to a quarter of that.
While the city and its populace withered away, much of the port itself was relatively untouched by the war. In 1703 administration of the port was granted to the Cult of the Sacred Detonation which, along with Szodansdron (formerly Kingsgate) compose the respective eastern and southernmost corners of the Exclusion Diocese.
