The Cherokee Sea, named for the historic Cherokee people of Amokolia, (also known as Bjornmunn Bay, "bear-mouth bay") is a bay in northern Benacia, connected to the Amokolian Sea. Known in legends of the Bjorngard people. Norfae is the main and most-important island of the bay.
The Cherokee Sea is famous for being the crash site of the airplane carrying Elwynnese steward Soreaa Isurui into exile after the Nationalist–Humanist coup d'état in Eliria toppled her. It is believed, but not proved, that the airplane was shot down on orders from the new leadership in Eliria.
