Catang Evergrande Football Club in short Catang Evergrande is a professional football club based in Catang, Seragaan which competes in the Daau Premier League. The club is named after the Evergrande Shining Holdings group which holds 56.6% of the club.
The Dragons play their games in the Catang National Training Center, on the outskirts of Seragaan due to Catang Stadium being in the renovation.
History
Founded in 2001, the club was originally named Catang Protectors FC and played most of its games in the nearby Khatib Cavik Stadium. The team was a regular in the Dauian Semi-Professional League and was the big teams of the league due to the quality of players the club then attracted. The club was owned by then-Catang district mayor Jamal Herrnam.
The Protectors would then be chosen to promote to the Western Seragaan League (WSL) in their 5th season.
The club would remain in the division for years to come before they were allowed promotion to the Daau League. They were then bought by a local major firm Evergrande Shining Holdings group for a mere Cr 3.2m and were officially renamed to Catang Evergrande Football Club and gave the club's badge a major revamp. The club then played a season in the Daau Super League due to the lack of teams and chose not to continue due to financial issues and being "severely" understaffed despite a 3rd place finish. The club pulled out and instead went straight down to the Western Seragaan League for a second time. They would rejoin the Daau League a season later.
The dragons would gain early promotion to the 2022-23 Daau Premier League season due to the Dauian Reduction, this became the second time the club has appeared in a major Dauian division. The club has hired Yan Tianjian who led the club to a 3rd place finish back in the Daau Super League.
