It is the site of a rather controversial memorial to [[Kaspar Soleiman]] raised by die-hard supporters of the [[Emirate of Sathrati]] during Kaspar's tenure as emir. The memorial has since become a curiosity, as with time, people have moved on from Kaspar's treachery.

Babran is an Elwynnese bailiwick and city in the Ardashirshahr metropolitan area. Bordering Ardashirshahr and Eskenderiyebandar in the north, Qajar in the south, and Majid-e Aik in the east, Babran is situated on the west bank of the Blue Elwynn. Its population is 1,800,994 (1679), of which 68% speak Babkhi and 14% Elw as their native languages. Babkhi is the only official language of the bailiwick.
