Operation Eastern Vigil is the Constancian military operation to secure the border between the Suren Confederation and the Socialist Republic of Banh Nam

History

Conceptualized by the military subcommittee at the onset of talks for the Integration of the Suren Confederacy, what began as a mere theoretical academic planning exercise soon graduated to actual staff work, with the intelligence, operations, and logistics command staff of the Eastern Eura Army Group, attended to by subordinate staff officers of the 508th (Raspur Khanate) Army and 509th (Surenid) Army, tasked to oversee the enterprise.

Defense infrastructure was planned and budgeted as part of the Constancian Development Plan 1740 - 1750, including the Eastern Fence, hardening the border, to which the Imperial Constancian Labor Service supplied the workers as a national priority.

This could be considered a continuation of Operation Eastern Watchtower and Operation Jungle Bolo, with the lessons learned from these two prior operations taken great heed of by the planning staff.
