The Astabadh of the Suren, an appointee of the Surenšāh, is the paramount civilian head of government for the Suren Confederacy. Responsible for the foreign relations of the Suren and the supervision of the confederacy's public administration, the Astabadh of the Suren remains in office for so long as he retains the confidence of the Surenšāh.
Alongside the integration of the Suren Confederacy, similar to the established legal convention with the Minister of Raspur, the incumbent Astabadh of the Suren is appointed Minister for the Suren Confederation.
