2024–25 Daau Premier League

The Daau Premier League (abbreviation: DPL) is a men's professional football league sanctioned by the Daau Football Association (DFA), which represents the sport's second highest level in the Daau Footballing Pyramid. The league is officially known as the Kotify Daau Premier League for sponsorship reasons.

History

The DPL ran its first season in 2022-23, with Sembalang Knights claiming the title and the ultimate ticket to the Daau Super League. Qixying, SSM and Catang were also promoted alongside the Knights. The league would then accept 8 new teams from the Daau League for its following 2023-24 season. As the Daau Super League expanded to 14 teams, league champions East Coast United (formerly Zhukang Hanbei) and second placed Thampines Rovers were promoted to the DSL with Seragaan FC being relegated to the DPL.

The Premier League expanded itself into 12 teams ahead of the 2024–25 season.

League format

Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored.

At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If the points, goal difference, goals scored, and head-to-head results between teams are equal, head-to-head records between the teams are used, followed by a better fair play record.

The champion of the league will receive automatic promotion to the Daau Super League whilst the 2nd and 3rd place are to play a promotion-relegation play-off between them and a Daau Super League team placed in 11th and 10th place.
