During the [[1751 military coup in the Confoederatio Aemilia]] a warrant for his arrest was issued as he was suspected of being part of a conspiracy to commit treason against the people of the Lanzerwald, he was allowed to leave the Lanzerwald and take up exile in Etzeland. Thomas de la Rochelle, born 1667 in Stadt Taktwinkel, in the Green was the father of Princess Emilia Antoinette de la Rochelle of the Confoederatio Aemilia. He is married to Nathalie Backer and the son of Aloïs de la Rochelle and Marie Sterngucker.
Thomas de la Rochelle was a member and elder of the Aemilian chapter of the Order of the Holy Lakes.
