The Southmoorland Dragoon Regiment (Cibolan Saxon: Südmoorland Dragoner-Regiment) is an armoured cavalry regiment of the Steerswick Army. It is garrisoned at Newmoorham. As of 1720 AN, it has a strength of 568 personnel.
History
The regiment traces its origins to the Südmoorland Hussar Regiment (Lich Hussar Regiment No. 3) raised at Moorheim by the King of Leichenberg in XIV.1598 AN. Redesignated the Südmoorland Dragoons in XI.1608 AN, the regiment continued to serve until the kingdom's collapse in 1660 AN.
It was revived under its present name by the Grand Duchy of Steerswick on 20.X.1708 AN. An artillery battery, equipped with GV6-52 Modular self-propelled howitzers, was added to the regiment in 1720 AN.
