Shahrzadpolis is a settlement created by Autokratorial Decree bearing date 9.XV.1685 [1] . It is located on the coast, east of Arete Competitive City, and is primarily settled by refugees from Alrig. Two years later, in accordance with Autokratorial Decree bearing date 18.IX.1687 [2], civilian residents of Nísos Aigón not otherwise employed or engaged in support services to the military reservation were ordered evacuated either to Aqaba or Shahrzadpolis.
It was governed as a personal fiefdom by Navarchos Theodoros Pangalos until his death on 5.IV.1696.
