Hempton Bay is the largest city of the Warring Islands, located on Great Warring Island. The city has been a constant site of settlement for over a thousand years, with conflict often leaving its mark on the city. During the War of the Casks much of the long abandoned city was destroyed by the occupying Sea Reavers. With the original Nova English population moved on by foreign occupiers following the Great Disaster, the city was largely devoid of habitation prior to its reintegration into the Faedertellus under Operation Feng.

The city itself acted as a hub for the resettlement of the Warring Islands and the local administration until the collapse of Nova England in 1698, after which the city (along with Great Warring Island) became occupied by the Hurmu Peace Corps.

Hunbald Weller, the former mayor of the port, was taken into custody by the Hurmu Constabulary on 5.XIV.1699. In his stead, Wolstan Darley, captain of the Fire Squadron of the Maritime Support Group, took possession of administrative compound and thereby control of the port, governing officially on behalf of the District of the Warring Islands established in Port Esther.

Points of Interest

  • Taylor Bay War Memorial; A monument located in front of the ruins of St John's Cathedral in memorial for the Nova English lives lost during the Taylor Bay War. The statue which features a Nova English soldier holding the national flag, was badly damaged following foreign occupation and used as target practice by board Sea-Reavers. However despite it pockmarked appearance it remains standing as a symbol of Nova English resilience.
