TheState Law & Order Restoration Council (SLORC) formed the Government of Elwynn, 1651–1653. Constitutionally, it was the same as Vanic Elwynn, but with King Noah, the deposed king, having been stripped of his citizenship. Under the Elwynnese constitution, his eldest son, Vilhjálm Daniel Gudrödar, was then proclaimed king. As king, Vilhjálm more or less did everything the SLORC advised him to do, including petitioning for the annulment of his parents' marriage and the signing into a law the constitution which established the first Elwynnese Republic.
