The 1681 Elwynnese general elections were held on 8.IV.1681 to the three autonomous republics' legislatures, the Congress, the Majles and the Nordisketing.
The elections were held in the background of the banning and dissolution of the Ayreonist Independence Party and other opposition parties, the Raspur–Verionian war, and the increasing Nationalist-Humanist dominance and surveillance over citizens' behaviour and public views. The elections were therefore widely seen as a referendum on the Nationalist–Humanist policies of the Court of the Prince.
