The Royal Shield (also known as the Devon Shield for sponsorship reasons) was a pair of unofficial international football competitions contested between Centralya, Coria, Etourney, the Florian Republic, Hoenn, Itavr, Mancunia, and Vyktory. It was organized by the Royal Shield Football Association, a partnership between the participating countries' FAs.
The format was a 4 team double elimination bracket with the winner facing off against the previous winners in the Grand Final. The men's tournament was held in Vyktory this September, and the women's tournament in October.
As for the logo, it was designed by Ikamoto Design, a company from Cianwood, Hoenn. The official symbolism iswas that each pentagon in the logo (and each arm of the star) represented one of the participating countries, while the ten sides of the shield represented their men's and women's teams.
The game ball was the Adidas Beau Jeu.
