Sint Anna is a city currently located in Alrig, that was founded in 1586 as St Ann Bay by the Federal Republic of Havnesgade-Amager in territory that had previously been occupied by the Republic of Flanders. Havnesgade-Amager was a short lived nation, that disappeared from the map in 1590. In 1599, the city rose to prominence as it was the capital of the Batavian Freestate, a government of exiled Batavians that opposed the Jingdaoese rule over the Kingdom of Batavia but were under heavy Flemish influence.
Economy
The main economic driver in Sint Anna is the logistics sector. The city is home to the Apollonian Shipping Company which operates a seaport. Several warehouses in Sint Anna are managed by OldSport. The city is also home to the Alriggian fishing fleet, a wholesale fish market and cold storage facilities. Most of the tourists that visit the city are Batavian tourists who want to learn more about the Batavian Freestate history. Sint Anna is also a popular destination wealthy Jingdaoese citizens who want to enjoy a liberal nightlife without having to explain too much to the Tegong when they return.
