Key Provisions
- Mutual Defense Commitment: The pact includes a clause that an attack on one is considered an attack on all, necessitating a collective defensive response.
- Economic Integration: Facilitates the removal of trade barriers, harmonizes tariffs, and promotes free movement of goods, services, and capital among the signatory states.
- Human Rights and Legal Framework: Establishes shared standards for human rights protection and a cooperative legal framework to support economic and social integration.
- Establishment of the Tripartite Treaty Organization (TTO): A formal organization to manage and direct the implementation of the treaty, oversee joint military exercises, intelligence sharing, and other cooperative measures.
