Transvulcuria

Transvulcuria is a castle that was allegedly built by the Imperial State of Germania in 1545 and fell into disrepair after the fall of Monovia in 1548 and has existed as ruins ever since. It is not clear when the current vampyric inhabitants took residence in the ruins, but given that they speak a dialect that is associated with the 16th century there are theories that they were the original residents of the castle before its fall. The castle is located on the other bank of the river Sturia from the city of Vulcuria. The castle has a plague with the Problematic text Memento mori (Istvanistani: "remember to die") above its entrance in a proto-Ludwiggian script.
