The Transnorton Operational Zone, or TNOZ, was a region of Corum claimed by East Zimia and the Wallis Islands.
History
On 20.IX.1753 AN, the government of East Zimia and the Wallis Islands claimed approximately 120,672 square kilometres of ungoverned land in central Corum as an exclusive military operational zone in the ongoing war against the Confederacy of the Dispossessed. The claimed area, named the Transnorton Operational Zone, is situated to the southwest of Lake Norton between the East Zimian and Wallisian region of Bayen and the associated realm of Western Corum, and is roughly centred upon the former city of Shannarash (Pallisican: Shanna).
Dissolution
The Transnorton Operational Zone was dissolved on 7.VII.1756 AN; 5,616 square kilometres in the west were ceded to Western Corum, while the remainder of the zone was annexed by East Zimia and the Wallis Islands as the region of Transnortonia.
