The Tigra Isles are two islands off the eastern coast of Lac Glacei and part of the Canton of Jacaringia. They are home to one of the last remaining Mala'anje reservations on Micras; the only other being located on the old Cyberian tribal lands of Mala Free Nation Territory.
History
The islands were first settled by Emperor Jacobus when he established the United Imperium, which included Lac Glacei and Cognito. With Jacobus' exile from the main islands of Cyberia, many loyalists fled with him to the new territories on Apollonia. Among these were most of the Mala'anje people, who had previously been subjugated under Cyberian rule. Jacobus settled them on the Tigra Isles, so named because the tiger had been a longstanding symbol of the Mala'anje people. Despite many centuries of changing hands, the islands have remained relatively untouched by foreigners, and the population has retains a population almost entirely composed of ethnic Mala'anje. This has allowed them to uphold their ancient language and traditions.
