The Old Monarchy
The old monarchy of Zeed was the regime which lasted from roughly 1599 to 1689 - 90 years. It saw 3 monarchs and was eventually overthrown during The September Revolution, seeing the disappearance of it's third and final monarch - Radovan II. The first 10 years of the existence of the now-defunct Empire of Zeed, is considered to be a part of the history of the Post-Nuclear Horror. As the monarchy had semi-modern origins, the ancient bloodlines of the Babkhan continent consider them to be "faux royalty".
The House of Terekov? It was born from a man who was able to unite a region and his people. His goal and actions were noble. However... to count this among the ancient houses of nobility of Eura is almost insulting. I am afraid I cannot see the problem with the elimination of a "house" - especially one which bore Radovan the Second. It was almost dangerous to be of the Gozari clan, let alone Babkhan, under his excuse for a reign. I am afraid I must support the Harmony - albeit in a form my family is not used to - of the revolutionary government.—Shakhriyar al-Gozari, 1690
First Monarch - Radovan I
Second Monarch - Milorad I
Milorad I was the second ruler of the old monarchy. The second-eldest son of Radovan I and one of five children - he survived his eldest brother of whom died of complications from presumably the Nuclear Horror. It is generally accepted, however, that much of Milorad I's family - including his own children - met deaths of which the circumstances are heavily debated. He was often referred to as Milorad the Dark - due to his hair having drastically darkened from the bright red of the genetic mutation so prevalent in the royal heritage.
Milorad I's reign was one considered to be, by those of whom were alive during his reign, was one of progressiveness, social order and a greater emphasis on maintaining stability and developing prosperity for his people. He is still regarded, even by some revolutionaries, as an admirable man who would eventually abolish the absolute monarchy in favor of democracy and the Harmonious Society. As to whether or not this is true is entirely unknown, as many records of his plans for the future of Zeed were burned by Radovan II.
Third Monarch - Radovan II
Radovan II, actually the eldest great-nephew of Radovan I, became heir apparent of the empire following now thoroughly debated events of intrigue regarding the untimely deaths of Tzjar Milorad I's three sons. There are even theories of the circumstances surrounding Milorad I himself - generally regarded as quite a benevolent and successful ruler. Radovan II would - until his disappearance - be the second longest ruler of Zeed, at 32 years. This is only outmatched by Radovan I's rule of 36 years.
Radovan II was known as both ambitious and incredibly cunning, but viciously plagued by drug abuse, philandery with both men and women, embezzlement and other egregious actions that saw the total decline of Zeedic society to fuel his well-documented life of absolute excess. Born to Radovan I's youngest brother's son - Prince Pyotr Serdarovich Terekov.
