The Post-Nuclear Horror - as it is known among the residents of Eura, especially those from Zeed - is the period immediately following a catastrophe which involved the launching of the entirety of the nuclear arsenal of the Kingdom of Babkha by the incumbent Shahanshah Zand Gozar.

Conspiracy Theories

Among the populations of the indigenous Eurans are various conspiracy theories as to why the event occurred. These theories range from Ashkenatzi incursions to serious drug abuse by the Shah. None, however, have ever been confirmed. As there are no known survivors of the Post-Nuclear Horror that were in the top echelons of the Babkhan government to confirm or deny any of the proposed theories, it remains a mystery and subject of great contention among the modern fold of Eura.

Ashkenatzi Incursion Theory

There are many Zurvanist, Khelwesite and even Ruthenian Orthodox that believe that the events that caused the Post-Nuclear Horror were indeed not the actions of the Shahanshah himself, but the actions of an Ashkenatzi cell that had infiltrated the Babkhan missile command. Many believe that, due to the inability of Ashkenatza to conquer the whole of Eura, felt that a scorched earth policy would be best - allowing them to rebuild the continent as they see fit.
