Tealsburrow, a Kalgachi settlement located in the Lieutenancy of Lithead. Connected to Stonetree by the Tealsburrow Railway, the city forms a designated stop along the Benacian Union Kalgachia Aligned Corridor Exchange. The countryside around Tealsburrow is infested with dreadnettles, shrapnel lilies, and other flora corrupted by the biomancy of the Deep Singers. Tyrannocricetus aliger has historically dominated the lowland regions of Lithead, although no individual creature has menaced the settlement itself in a little over a generation, since the KDF garrison was installed to protect the railway's infrastructure.
History
Beatrice Formicida, Parish Proctor of the settlement, received preference and promotion to the rank of Lady Lieutenant of Lepidopterum after her ample charms came to the attention of House of Yastreb.
The construction of the Tealsburrow Railway, connecting Tealsburrow to Stonetree in the south and the Kalgachi rail network at Zensemer in the north, was reputedly a contract awarded to the Iron Company during the brief but fruitful period of direct contact between Kalgachia and Kasterburg circa 1660 AN.
On 10.I.1665 AN the Imperial Forces of Shireroth staged a biological weapons attack on Stonetree, then the capital of the Republic of Inner Benacia. The failure of the Shirerithians to model the impact of weather conditions upon the dispersal patterns of the munition employed resulted in a far wider area of contamination than had been anticipated. As dreadnettle poisoning in parishes south of Tealsburrow subsequently spiked to anomalously high levels in the immediate aftermath of the deployment of a single Moraquine/Ikol missile against Stonetree, the Directorate of the Tumultuous Wastes made a formal complaint to their Shirerithian counterparts. Embarrassed by the incident, the Shirerithian authorities scapegoated the operation's commander, Herlot bi Merensk, as a junior officer who had acted far in excess of his authority. Wishing to avert a cycle of escalation, the Kalgachi diplomats accepted the explanation and apology that was offered. In spite of the Shirerithians reporting the disciplining and implied liquidation of Herlot bi Merensk, it should be noted that the individual evidently survived and rose to become Director of Military Intelligence for Benacia Command by 1672 AN and Chief of the General Staff from 1685 AN onwards.
Economy and infrastructure
In addition to hosting a station for the Tealsburrow Railway and the BUKACE, the settlement also hosts a Chicken King franchise operated by the Church of Kalgachia in return for a fee paid to the Florian parent company.
