STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS ACT, 1694

Ordered, by the Cortes Federales of Nouvelle Alexandrie,
to be Printed, 1694 AN.

BE IT ENACTED by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Cortes Federales, in this present 1st session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

PART I
GENERAL PROVISIONS.

1. CITATION.

  1. This Act may be cited in all purposes as the “Statutory Instruments Act, 1694”.

2 DEPARTMENT ORDERS.

  1. Acts of a Secretary of a Department of His Majesty's Government providing for regulations of a general or permanent character in implementation or execution of constitutional or statutory powers, shall be promulgated in the form of Department Orders. Each Department Order shall take effect upon signature of the respective Secretary, as applicable. Two or more Secretaries may promulgate a Joint Department Order if circumstances warrant. All Department Orders shall be publicly published, except where publication of which may be prejudicial to national security as His Majesty's Government may decide.
  2. Department Orders shall be serialized in the order of the calendar year of its promulgation, and denominated in chronological order of its issuance,with separate reckonings for each Department.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRESIDENT OF THE GOVERNMENT.

  1. It shall be the responsibility of the President of the Government to ensure that this Act is properly implemented and that Department Orders are duly preserved. These responsibilities may, by written directive of the President of the Government, be delegated to a subordinate official in the service of His Majesty's Government.

4. COMMENCEMENT AND APPLICATION.

  1. This Bill shall apply to all of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
  2. This Bill shall not become law unless it has been given Royal Assent.
  3. In the event any provision or part of this Bill is found to be invalid or unenforceable, only that particular provision or part so found, and not the entire Bill, will be inoperative.
