Statthalter-Adam-Rettichs-Hafen

Statthalter-Adam-Rettichs-Hafen is a state that the Confoederatio Aemilia is trying to establish on the island of Rherci, which was under the control of the Imperial Federation until its demise in 1761. The Confoederatio Aemilia, which sees itself as a successor state to the Lanzerwald Republic had a claim on the island, should it ever be abandoned by the Imperial Federation, through the Treaty of the Stadtholder Adam Rettich Harbour. While the departure of the island was sudden and unexpected, Princess Aimée Isabelle wasted no time and issued an immediate invasion of the island by the Kriegskorps Ludwigshafen that took place only two days after news of the event. Troops landed in Statthalterrettichshafen in XII.1761 and from there expeditions throughout the rest of the island were undertaken, the location of the city of Rherci was found a week later, but many buildings had disappeared, only some buildings originally built by the Calbain remained. Control over the city was assumed.

To repopulate the island and strengthen the claim of the Confoederatio Aemilia, the federal government started a campaign among its citizens. Free land was offered to citizens who moved to the island with their families to start a farm or a business. Approximately 50,000 people took this offer up in the first year that the campaign was held, 1762.
