South Ereshkigal Engineering Corporation
The South Ereshkigal Engineering Corporation is a corporation based in Enkidu, Eridu, in The Hexarchy. The corporation was responsible for the construction of the highway to the south of Ereshkigal Forest, to include the high walls and containment infrastructure built to prevent the many dangerous beasts (including Jingdaoese valleytigers) that roam the area. The highways are made of reinforced material meant to sustain heavy traffic along the coastal cliffs and harsh terrain that abruptly separates the jungle from the sea.
The company derives most of its revenue from operations within the Hexarchy's eastern territories. The company currently specializes in road construction, maintenance, and building concrete-based structures. The firm was contracted in 1756 AN for the Maulikpur-connected S74 highway, which runs from Maulikpur to the newly built NH13, heading west past Leylpur. The company was chosen for its expertise in cutting straight through the jungle and high hills in the area, while avoiding any lasting damage to the surrounding environment to take advantage of the local natural beauty. The company also voluntarily constructed rest stops at scenic points along the roadway for motorists to appreciate the local flora. (See the relevant entry here).
