Simon Schafenweide
Simon Schafenweide was a politician and businessman, born in Stadt Sankt Ludwigshafen, Sankt Ludwigshafen in 1690. He was the son of Ludwig Schafenweide and he was married to Charlène Jolicoeur-Schafenweide. On 14.XII.1716 Simon Schafenweide was appointed to the position of Stadtholder of Sankt Ludwigshafen following a constitutional crisis after his father was arrested for his brutal methods in the 1716 Ludwiggian Restoration civil war.
Simon Schafenweide finished his education at the University of Huyenkula where he met his wife, as they shared classes in Nazarene theology. The both of them were devout Nazarene followers since an early age but were disappointed in Nazarene theology as they learned more of it. From 1714 onwards the two were introduced to a secret Siseranist doomsday cult that was active in Hurmu, but felt the views of that group a bit too extreme and they left the group in 1716 before they got married. The two were married on 20.XI.1716 and left Hurmu less than a month later when Simon was appointed Stadtholder.
As Stadtholder Simon Schafenweide continued the dream of his father to modernise and industrialise the Republic of Sankt Ludwigshafen. His dreams failed miserably and he committed suicide by throwing himself into a cold river on 14.I.1717, only part of his gnawed body were recovered.
Simon Schafenweide was succeeded by his younger brother, Hans Schafenweide as Stadtholder of Sankt Ludwigshafen.
