Seydlitz is a city in the Isles of Caputia, a region of Nouvelle Alexandrie, in the state of Gotfriedland and Karsten. The youngest of the region's principal cities, it was founded about 1719 AN and named for the first Duke of Gotfriedplatz. It is the seat of the Directorate of Keltian Operations of the ESB Group, and its population is estimated at some 540,000.[1]
History
Seydlitz took its name from Gerhardt Eugen Seydlitz, created first Duke of Gotfriedplatz in 1718 AN, a former Regional Governor of the Isles who had also served as Prime Minister of Caputia and Premier of Nouvelle Alexandrie.[1][2] The city was founded about 1719 AN and stands at the terminus of the Isles of Caputia Railway, which runs from Gotfriedplatz through Ulrichstadt and Velez.[3]
Economy
The ESB Group, a commodities and services company, redomiciled its continental headquarters to Seydlitz by a decision of its board at Astérapolis in 1735 AN, in the wake of the East Keltian Collapse. Its Directorate of Keltian Operations, seated in the city, answers to the parent ESB-Jörmungandr Group, Inc., and its presence is the mainstay of Seydlitz's commercial standing.[4][1]
