Gotfriedplatz
Gotfriedplatz (City of Gotfried) is the capital of the Isles of Caputia, a region in Nouvelle Alexandrie. The city lies on the west coast of the main island, Gotfried Insel, and is known for its port and as a fishing community. It is the eighth most populous city in the Federation, with a population estimated at some 3,600,000; at the count of 1710 AN it numbered 243,723. Paradoxically, much of the city lies below sea level.
The city is an historical and cultural center for the Caputian people. This is most visible in its architecture, which derives wholly from the Genevan style of Alduria. Since its conquest by Nouvelle Alexandrie, it has been the governmental centers of the isles, and is important for its administration. Beyond that, much of the local economy relies on its fishing industries, including its world-famous mussels production.
The city of Gotfriedplatz is governed by the State of Gotfriedland & Karsten, a state in the region of the Isles of Caputia. The city is subdivided into Wards.
