Selena Fairbairn (born 6.X.1714 AN) is a New Alexandrian politician, labor lawyer, and service-worker organizer serving as a member of the Federal Assembly for New Luthoria in the 13th Cortes Federales. A member of the Democratic Socialist Party (DSP), she was first elected at the 1754 general election, in which the DSP won 7 of New Luthoria's 12 seats.[1]

Early life and legal work

Fairbairn was born in Pharos, New Luthoria. Before entering federal politics, she worked as a labor lawyer and organizer for service-sector workers in tourism, ferry operations, and port-adjacent businesses. Her early legal work focused on wage claims, shift scheduling, and workplace safety complaints in the region's island economy.[2]

Federal Assembly

Fairbairn entered the Federal Assembly as part of the DSP's New Luthorian delegation after the 1754 election. The party carried the region with 52.22 percent of the vote and gained one seat, while the Federal Humanist Party fell to four seats.[1]

In the 13th Cortes, Fairbairn sits with the Alliance for a Just Nouvelle Alexandrie opposition bloc led by Marcos Ferreira Gonçalves.[3] Her Assembly work is associated with labor standards, transport access between the islands, and public services for workers in New Luthoria's tourism and fishing sectors.

Political positions

Fairbairn belongs to the labor wing of the DSP. She supports stronger enforcement of wage and hour rules, collective bargaining rights for service workers, and federal investment in inter-island transport. Within the DSP caucus, she is a regional deputy focused on employment law and island public services.
