Satom (formally Sanaman Atomic Power Company) is a Sanaman government-owned company managing all nuclear power plants in the country. Company headquarters are located at the Port Niyi Nuclear Plant compound. The company was formed in 1741 with the nationalisation of the remaining privately owned and operated plants. The rationale was efficiency, coordination and national security. It is also a core policy position of the ruling Axikakan party that critical utilities should be owned and operated by the government.

Security
On-site security is provided by the 3,500-person strong Satom Site Protection Division, divided among the eight sites. The division provides access control, perimeter and internal patrols, monitoring of surveillance systems, first-line armed response inside and immediately outside the perimeter, internal movement management and support for supervisors during incidents. The Nuclear Protection Agency of the national government provides secure transport escorts, responses to high-threat scenarios, reinforcements during incidents, intelligence and surveillance and threat assessments. If needed, the Kalisa Lanyitali also assist the sites during incidents.
