Sanpantul Innovation Party (Sanpanese: Sanpanturu Inobēshon Tō) is a political party in Sanpantul, founded in 1743 as a nationalist breakaway faction from the Victory Banner Party. The party is known for its anti-immigration stance, commitment to technocratic governance, opposition to corruption, and cultural focus on reviving and preserving the ancient Katarian civilization.
History
The Innovation Party was established in 1743 during a major schism within the Victory Banner Party. While the parent party was torn between liberalizing and maintaining traditional nationalist values, a faction led by Kobayashi chose to break away and form a distinct movement. This new group retained strong nationalist ideals but diverged in favoring technocracy and institutional reform.
The party gained national attention in the 1746 general elections, where it secured 5.43% of the vote, narrowly passing the electoral threshold. This success granted the party 14 seats in the Asenburi (Lower Assembly), marking its entry into national politics.
Ideology and Platform
The Innovation Party blends right-wing nationalism with elements of technocratic pragmatism. Its core policy positions include:
- Nationalism: Retains a firm nationalist position, particularly in cultural and educational policies.
- Anti-immigration: Strongly opposed to immigration, citing social cohesion and cultural preservation as key concerns.
- Anti-corruption: Advocates for strict anti-corruption measures, judicial transparency, and accountability within public offices.
- Technocracy: Supports a more expert-driven administration of the state, encouraging meritocratic leadership and evidence-based policy-making.
- Katarian Heritage: Promotes the study and revitalization of Katarian culture, an ancient civilization viewed by the party as foundational to Sanpanese identity.
Leadership
Since its inception, the party has been led by YadaKobayashi Razan, a former high-ranking member of the Victory Banner Party. Under his leadership, the party has developed a disciplined internal structure and consistent ideological messaging.
