Samlag

A samlag (definite form samlageð; plural also samlag; abbr. Smlg) is a joint-stock company of limited liabilities for its shareholders in Hurmu. It is the most common form of joint-owner company in Hurmu. Examples are the Köping Tea Company and Draken.

Under Hurmu law, a samlag needs to have the word samlag in the official name, either as a compound, or otherwise morphed into the name, or in any of the other official translations of the national languages:

  • Lakkvian: Aktsiaselts (AS)
  • Krasnocorian: Акционарско друштво (а.д.), Akcionarsko društvo (a.d.)
  • White Lontinian: акционерлік қоғам (АҚ); akcïonerlik qoğam (AQ)
  • Blue Lontinian: Khuvitsaat Kompani (KhK)

Similarly, the official name of any joint-stock company in Hurmu must be in either Hurmu Norse, Krasnocorian, White or Blue Lontinian. A company may also choose to have parallel official names in two or more of these above-mentioned official languages.

As such, the abbreviations a.d., AQ, AS, Smlg, and KhK are equal under Hurmu law, as are their long-form versions. Companies may use any of abbreviations or any of the long-form names in their official registered names, in line with grammatical and orthographical considerations, of course. Their brand name might be different, and may also be in any minority languages of Hurmu (Crandish, Army Crandish, Istvanistani).
