S-8 M1718 Terremoto

The S-8 M1718 Terremoto is a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 300 km, developed by FBP from the STS120 'Terremoto' on behalf of the Federal Forces of Nouvelle Alexandrie in response to Defence Requirement Specification 1718-L-123 issued on 18.X.1718 AN. DRS 1718-L-123 stipulated that the S-8 M1718 Terremoto was to be delivered as part of a four cell containerised missile system capable of being fitted within standard cargo containers and transportable via interchangeable commercial cargo trucks, rail transport, and cargo vessels.

The S-8 M1718 Terremoto was first deployed against a hostile target during Operation Purple Shroud, resulting in the elimination of a number of key leadership figures associated with the Confederacy of the Dispossessed. The occasion was notable for being the first use by Federal Forces of a ground launched precision guided munition against a target identified and tracked by surveillance assets in real time.
