The Ransenari Organization for Public Economic Research (ROPER) is a Ransenari private nonprofit research organization committed to undertaking and disseminating unbiased economic research among public policymakers, business professionals, and the academic community. The organization is known for having provided accurate and very detailed information to business and to policymakers regarding the causes of the economic crisis of 1679 AN.

The NBER's current President and CEO is Professor Joseph Doherty, from Teldrin.

History

The ROPER was founded in 1675 AN, by a large group of professors, economists, scientists, and sociologists in the city of Teldrin. Its purpose was to ensure that economic research would be prioritized by the government of Ransenar in order to come up with better economic policies for the country in a non-partisan, objective manner. Its first staff economist, director of research, and founders was an Elwynnese economist called Frank Holmlund. He was succeeded by Joseph Doherty in 1681 AN.

Holmlund's work on national income became the basis of official measurements of GNP and other related indices of economic activity in Ransenar. The ROPER is currently located in Teldrin, Ransenar with a branch office in Goldfield.

ROPER is considered one of the most influential economic think-tanks in the country.
